The AL Capital Division is being organized in part by EMERGE Montgomery, a program of Leadership Montgomery in partnership with the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. EMERGE Montgomery is an organization for young
professionals to connect with each other and the community. It is a built-in network of contacts for 22-40 year olds who currently live in the Montgomery area.
WAKA kicked-off the adult kickball craze in 1998 with the first organized league, and today has grown into the largest adult kickball association in the world with teams in more than 30 states, as well as in London and a U.S. soldier division in Iraq.
For around $8 a week, players get an official team shirt, all game equipment – and unique social benefits like division parties, new friends and maybe even a significant other, professional networking opportunities, as well as the chance to
give back to the community with charity events held each season.
WAKA also offers players the opportunity to qualify to play in the World Championship Founders Cup Tournament held annually in Las Vegas.
