Gateway Executive Golf Course was designed for the City of Montgomery and opened in 2006.  Gateway is a beautiful, fully manicured 5,862 yard par 32 nine-hole layout.

Lagoon Park Golf Course was designed for the City of Montgomery and opened in 1978.  Lagoon Park is a beautiful, fully manicured 6,773 yard par 72 championship layout.  It has been rated one of the nation’s Top 50 Public Courses by Golf Digest.

With three distinct championship courses to choose from, each poses its own challenges.  The Senator is a traditional Scottish –style layout with 150 pot-hole bunkers.  The Legislator, a more traditional course, plays in and out of pine trees along a bluff.  The Judge plays alongside the 200 acre glistering backwaters of the Alabama River.

The World Adult Kickball Association (WAKA®), the preeminent adult kickball organization created to advance the joy of kickball around the world, announces open registration for its first co-ed adult kickball division in Alabama – the AL Capital Division in Montgomery.  The AL Capital Division is being organized in part by EMERGE Montgomery, a program of Leadership Montgomery in partnership with the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. EMERGE Montgomery is an organization for young professionals to connect with each other and the community. It is a built-in network of contacts for 22-40 year olds who currently live in the Montgomery area.  For around $8 a week, players get an official team shirt, all game equipment and unique social benefits like division parties, new friends and maybe even a significant other, professional networking opportunities, as well as the chance to 
give back to the community with charity events held each season.
